Gouverneto Monastery (Ioannou Erimitou Gouvernetou) is built as a Venetian style fortress which dates back to 1537 and is considered one of the oldest monasteries in Greece.
It is located in Akrotiri approximately 20 km from the center of Chania and 5 km north of the Agia Triada Monastery.
