Loutraki is located 16 km northeast of Chania center in the area of Akrotiri and rather close to the Chania airport. The beach is very popular with the locals along with Marathi beach which is nearby.
Loutraki beach has beautiful waters that are in parts suddenly deeper so caution is advised for those travelling with young children.
The beach is organised with umbrellas, water activities and two restaurants. There is also a big parking area so parking shouldn’t be an issue, depending always the time of the season.
Tip: On the right side under the Mare Nostrum Villas, there is a grass area where umbrellas and sunbeds are free if you order from the restaurant. The restaurant usually plays loud dance music.
