The Municipal Art Gallery or Public Art Gallery of Chania is located at the start of Halidon Street which leads to the Venetian Harbour. The building consists of three floors that host artwork of Greek and local artists, which date from 18th century until today.
The exhibition consists mainly paintings and sculptures and most of the exhibits are donations such as the one from Lykourgos Manoysakis at the end of the 50s, as well as donations from Greek artists Kostas Ioannidis and Panagiotis Grabbalos.
Besides the permanents exhibition, the Municipal Art Gallery, hosts temporary exhibitions and other cultural events such as educational programs, speeches and other cultural activities throughout the year.

Admission Fee
2 euro, reduced 1 euro.
