Fylakes Beach is a hidden cove close to the beach of Agia Pelagia which is situated 25 km west from the city of Heraklion.
The beach is an unspoiled green and lush paradise which not many travelers or even locals know about. The best way to reach the beach is by heading to the far end of Agia Pelagia beach on the left side, where a small chapel is located and swim around the rocks for about 15 minutes.
If you want only want to get a nice view of the beach, you could simply follow the path along the rock that will lead you on a high point in front of the beach, however you will not be able to climb down.
If you want a comfortable way of getting there, you can always rent a pedalo or a canoe from Agia Pelagia.
