The Botanical Park of Crete is approximately a 30-minute drive from the center of Chania and features some of the wildest plants and flowers in the Mediterranean and the rest of the world.
The park was build on the land which was completely burned to the ground in 2003 from a major fire in the area. It has now been restored to a vivid landscape of 20 hectares with fruit trees, herbs and plants from all over the world.
Tip: The walk around the park takes roughly 2 hours, however there is an option for a shortcut which take approximately half the time.
Opening Hours: Daily 09:00 – one hour before sunset (End of March – November).
Entrance Fee: Full price 6 euro, children 6 to 12 4 euro, ages 6 and under go Free.
