Damnoni beach is located on the south part of Rethymno near Plakias town. It is the largest of the four beaches Ammoudi, Klisidi and Ammoudaki beach, all which are found in the area between Plakias and Preveli.
Damnoni is a long, sandy beach with parts of it being organised with sunbeds and umbrellas. There are a few taverns right behind the beach where you can have something to eat and drink.
Generally the beach doesn’t get extremely busy even in high season, so you will get a spot, but even if it is, there are three gorgeous beaches around the corner and within walking distance.
