The church of St Nicholas is located in the Georgioupolis, an approximate 40-minute drive from the city of Chania and a 30-minute drive from Rethymno. It is situated in the Georgioupolis port on a small islet in the sea, about 100 meters from the shore. Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors and the church is dedicated to him.
Tip: Make sure you have sport shoes on, as walking to the church can be proven rather tricky with flip-flops even though it is a quick walk.
