Sougia (Greek: Σούγια) is a small fishing village on the southern part of Crete, 1 hour and 30 minutes from the city of Chania. The village is no extremely busy even during high season which makes it a perfect sanctuary if you would prefer to relax and also avoid the large crowds.
The village is a starting point should you want to visit the Lissos Archaeological Site and also if you want to cross the Lissos Gorge.
