Spili (Greek: Σπήλι) is a charming little village located less than 30 km south of Rethymno city. The village is mostly known for its Venetian lion head fountains found at the main square.
There are a few coffee shops and restaurants, as well as plenty of shops selling handicrafts and Cretan products. Additionally, there is also a large car park close to the main square so no need to worry about where to park your vehicle.
Tip: Take a stroll up the hill through the many alleys and the many small old houses.
