The Folk Museum of Spili is an interesting museum of Cretan folklore and tradition located in Spili. There are a number of items from the recent history of Crete collected over the years raging from farming, clothing, cookware, carpets and more!
The museum is housed in a traditional Cretan home, hence it is not very large nor will it take you long to go through its few rooms. The museum is completely free, however donations are welcome.
Entrance Fee: Free
Opening Times: Daily 10:00 – 18:00.
Tip: The curator is what really makes the difference. He will explain about all the pieces of the museum and will show you the true Cretan hospitality while treating you to some raki!
