
1. Preveli Palm Beach
Preveli has taken its name from the monastery located 2 km away and it is one of the highlights of Crete! The walk down to the beach is not that easy (not that difficult either) however it offers amazing views of the Libyan sea. The beach itself is something else. Lovely waters and unusual rocks, and a scenic palm forest should convince you this is the best beach in Rethymno!
2. Kalypso Beach
Kalypso is probably nothing like any other beach you have experienced in Crete. It is not your traditional beach as it has no sand, but sand is overrated! Kalypso is a beach resort build on steep rocks with marvelous green/blue waters that are perfect for scuba diving. Truly a unique experience not to be missed!
3. Klisidi Beach
Located on the southern part of Rethymno, Klisidi beach bares a lot of resemblances with Seitan Limania in Chania. It is a private beach with turquoise waters that in contrast with Seitan Limania is not as busy. It is occupied sometimes by nudists, just to give you a heads-up!
